Course Delivery

Delivery Style

Our trainers work with your groups to help them to improve the services they offer to children. This means that we train our trainers to talk to their course participants - not at them!

Our trainers also work flexibly to meet the groups' needs. Our session plans do not include any timings because we focus on the learning needs of the group, rather than how long it is until coffee break! Our trainers deliver courses from the heart, not from the manual - we want to inspire good practice, not just parrot what everybody is already thinking.

Our training courses have been specifically designed so that they deliver relevant and meaningful information to meet a variety of learning styles and abilities. All of our courses incorporate a wide range of learning methods to help participants develop their knowledge and  their practice.

Visual Aids

All our training courses (except Playmania!) contain unique audio-visual materials which we have commissioned specially to illustrate key learning points. To see a short example of part of the Management Skills course please click here - this clip is a small segment from the 'Time Management' section.

This means that training clients will need to supply some form of electronic equipment for trainers to play either a powerpoint presentation or a DVD and this will be requested by us on the Course Confirmation Form.

If you are unsure about what is required or need further details, do please get in touch!

Handouts

We realise that once trainees have left the training session they will need to refresh their memories about some of those 'must know' points! We provide a comprehensive, easy to use and colourful handout pack to each student. In line with the SkillsActive Code of Practice requirements, our handout packs also include information for participants such as our course health and safety policy, information about Common Threads and our complaints and appeals procedure.
