T2T - training to trainer
T2T is the Common Threads Training to Trainer programme. It gives experienced trainers the opportunity to deliver tried-and-tested Common Threads training courses in their local area.
There are many benefits to both the trainer and the organisations for which they work.
professional development - trainers broaden their training repertoire and add to their delivery style
trainer support - trainers receive mentoring and support from Common Threads as well as developing links with each other
practice development - the courses offered under the T2T programme have been proven to develop practice in practitioners
saves resources - no need to waste time and money developing new training courses and trainers also qualify for discounts on Common Threads publications.
How does it work?
Anybody who is an experienced trainer and also has the relevant practice experience can be part of the T2T programme and deliver Common Threads training courses on behalf the organisation for which they work or even on a freelance basis. Trainers apply to become part of the T2T programme and, providing that they are accepted on the basis of their training and practice experience, join the T2T course which they would like to deliver. The T2T course is led by an experienced Common Threads trainer who knows the course well. The group works through the course together to experience the content and to discuss content-related and practical issues, as well as to learn about quality assurance requirements and the paperwork! After the T2T course trainers then receive support from Common Threads, which includes quality assurance visits, telephone support and discounts on our publications. The T2T programme is effectively a licencing arrangement so trainers can choose to renew their licence on an annual basis.
Please note that for all courses booking closes 4 weeks before start date.
