TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Our Fees
Our standard rate for a one-day training course (7 hours) in 08/09 is £900. Half day training courses (4 hours) are charged at £575.
The above fee includes all materials, handouts, preparation time, travel time. It does not include venue, equipment or refreshment costs. Where certificates are issued for accredited courses a charge of £15 per certificate is made.
Playmania! courses are charged at £1200 per course.
Expenses (travel, accommodation and subsistence) are charged either as 'actuals' by arrangement with the training client or as a flat fee per training course. The charge for 08/09 is £90.
Our fees are reviewed on the 30 September each year and any work undertaken after that date will be charged at the revised rate except for dates which have been agreed prior to 30 September for the following year.
Payment is due within 30 days from receipt of invoice.
All costs above are ex-VAT which will be charged where applicable.
Cancellation Policy
For courses run on weekdays the following cancellation policy applies;
- Over 4 weeks notice - no cancellation fee
- Between 4 and 2 weeks notice - cancellation incurs 50% of original fee, re-arrangement incurs no cancellation fee
- Less than 2 weeks notice - cancellation and / or re-arrangement incur 50% of the agreed fee
- Cancellation and/or re-arrangement within 48 hours of the start time of the course will incur the full original fee.
For courses which involve weekend training the following cancellation policy applies;
- Over 6 weeks notice - no cancellation fee
- Between 6 and 2 weeks notice - cancellation incurs 50% of original fee, re-arrangement incurs no cancellation fee
- Less than 2 weeks notice - cancellation and / or re-arrangement incur 50% of the agreed fee
- Cancellation and/or re-arrangement within 48 hours of the start time of the course will incur the full original fee.
Our trainers
We will do our best to match the needs of your group with the best trainer for the job.
However we cannot guarantee the availability of any trainer for any specific course and reserve the right to replace trainers with others of similar ability and experience at any time. We also reserve the right to reschedule training courses due to not being able to run courses in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
Training clients must not enter into separate arrangements with our trainers for providing training unless an introduction fee of £3,000 is paid to Common Threads by the training client.
Our training client responsibilities
In order to run our training courses, our training clients undertake to;
- book training venues which provide safe systems and working conditions, are accessible to all potential training participants, are lit by natural light and adhere to the requirements of all Health and Safety legislation
- ensure that participants who have specific support needs are identified to us in advance so that their needs can be met, with the cost of any specific support needs being met by the training client
- provide training and/or audio/visual equipment as set out in the Training Confirmation Form
- obtain adequate Public Liability Insurance.
General
Maximum numbers on all courses is 16 participants - except for Playmania! which is 30. Minimum numbers are set by negoitiation with the training client.
Common Threads and the Client undertakes not to disclose to any third party any confidential information belonging to either party save for such information which is available under the Freedom of Information Act.
If the performance of Common Thread's obligations is delayed or hindered by circumstances outside our control amounting to Force Majeure, we will as soon as reasonably practicable give the client notice of the reasons for the delay or hindrance. Our duty to perform shall be suspended for as long as the circumstances amounting to force majeure continue. Thereafter we will ensure the proper performance of these terms and conditions.
The Contract between Common Threads and the Client shall be governed by English Law and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
